Family Home Evening

Josh and I were talking a couple weeks ago and decided that it was a good time to start doing Family Home Evening with Savanna. She is aware of Jesus and church and temples, but we want her to start to understand what they are and so on... so we did our first little Family Home Evening on Monday night and it was a huge success. Savanna loved it and loved talking about Heavenly Father and Jesus and singing songs and all that fun "stuff". We colored these little head crowns that said "I am a child of God" and she wore hers around all night! Little kids make things so much fun. Love you Savy!

Some "Savanna" moments

Okay, so Savanna goes in and out of what movie she is "obsessed" with. It has ranged any where from Enchanted to her latest Shrek 2. Oh my heck... she loves this movie and wants to watch it 24-7 (and would if I let her). Today I was doing some laundry and came upstairs to find her in a very unusual position, but still very intently watching her show. I had to share this limber little position with everyone! Next, Savanna is very into doing hair. She loves to play with mine and she is very opinionated on how I do her hair. The other night, she tried so hard to do her daddy's hair. She kept spraying and combing it, hoping it would do what she wanted it to do... and I have no idea on what her end goal was but I do know she had a lot of fun playing with her daddy's hair!

Baby Room

So, in my attempt to try and distract myself for the last several weeks, Josh and I have had such a fun time finishing up the nursery. It isn't completely done, which lets face it, nothing ever is... but it is a start. I still want a rug and some more picture frames and little odds and ends, but it is just about there! And WE LOVE IT... especially Josh. He says it looks really "boy" which is VERY important to him! It has been so much fun doing something completely out of my element. I come from an all girl family so this little boy will have a lot of trial and error in his life. Although I am completely out of my zone, I truly am so excited to have some more testosterone in this house... and I think Josh is too! Hope you enjoy these pictures of our hard work! And I need to thank Josh for doing such a great job on the letters. He wanted to do something really different and so my idea + his handy skills = cute letter!!! Also, I know the baby ticker says I still have 2 weeks left, but I am actually scheduled to be induced exactly 1 week from today. YAY!!! That is if I don't go early. And I am thinking he is very comfy and cozy in my belly so probably fat chance at going early. (but I can still hope)

Happy Valentines Day

Okay, I just have to say my favorite thing about this day was Savannas CUTE outfit. I am sorry but she did look dang cute in her velvet red outfit! We had a great day just being together as a family. Josh and I have spent so much time and money on the baby nursery that we really just wanted to hang out and enjoy being with each other! NO COMPLAINTS HERE FROM A VERY PREGNANT AND UNCOMFORTABLE WOMAN!!! He did get me some beautiful flowers which was much appreciated. Thanks babe!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Well I don't have much to say about my birthday other than it was very nice! Josh got me a massage and took me to a movie and dinner (my favorite). We had a very relaxing day with breakfast, lunch and dinner all for me, finished off with an INCREDIBLE ice cream cake! A great day for someone who is getting old... at least I am younger than my hubby ha ha! Thanks to everyone for their phone calls, gifts and love!

I love to see the Temple

We had the great opportunity to go through the Draper Temple this past week and let me tell ya.... it was amazing! Everything was so beautiful and it was just a sweet feeling to be there. Savanna LOVED it! She has been asking to go inside the temple for a while now. We drive up there often to look at the outside and see the progress so she has really been looking forward to being able to go into this "BIG pretty" building. Thank you to my mother in law for getting us tickets and sharing in this experience with us!
