Living Planet Aquarium... so much fun

Today we went to the Living Planet Aquarium with our friends the Jones that live across the street from us. They have cute little girl 1 year older than Savanna named Liv and Savanna loves playing with her! The Aquarium was so much fun and the girls ran around looking at the different fish, frogs, sharks, jellyfish, stingrays and all sorts of fun things. It was such a good buy too... for $15 it gets Savanna and I in as much as we want for an entire year! We had such a great time and we will definitely be going back there. If any of you have little ones just itching to go do something on a rainy day, I would recommend trying this place out.

The girls were so cute... they kept walking around and holding each others hands!

Memorial Weekend

So despite the not so great weather, we still made the best of the holiday weekend! We started it all off by going to the new and very disappointing Indian Jones movie. In my opinion, not all that great. Saturday we spent the majority of the day in our yard. We planted so many flowers, took out ugly trees and shrubs and made our front yard look beautiful! It was a lot of work but way worth it. We also had a little time to run over to the park and let Savanna play on the playground... which she loved! She is so cute and fun to watch as she runs around and plays. Sunday was spent running from grave site to grave site trying to visit all our family and loved ones. It was so nice to just spend all day together. My poor husband had to work on Monday so I had a girls day with my mom. Movie and shopping... what could be better! I hope everyone had a great weekend too!

18 Months Old!

Well, today Savanna is officially 18 months old. It will be the last time we celebrate a "months" birthday for her. From here on out, it will be the "YEARS" celebration. Unfortunately it wasn't that great of a day considering it all started with a trip to the doctor for her exam and 2 shots. She seriously screamed so loud. I felt horrible... like I am a terrible mom (which I am assuming all mothers feel)! She is a whopping 21 pounds and 32 inches tall. Yes folks that's right... we have a light weight on our hands! She followed that with a long 3 hour nap and then played outside with the flowers. She also does this new thing where I ask her to smile and she squats down and gives the biggest grin. So here is our precious 18 month old taking time to smell the flowers and giving her new grin that makes me laugh!

Are there monsters under my bed?...

Savanna found out very quickly that there are NO monsters under her bed! Josh has introduced her to playing and hiding under her bed. She thought it was pretty cool once she figured out how to crawl under there without hitting her head. Now, when I can't find her, I look under there and low and behold, there she is with her binky, blanket, and a big smile on her face. Lucky thinks it is pretty cool to hang out under there too!

Savanna LOVES to give Lucky loves... he just doesn't seem to love it so much!

Happy Mothers Day

I had such a wonderful Mothers Day and my family spoiled me rotten! It started out with homemade breakfast and ended with one of my favorite things... a back tickle! All the stuff in between was fabulous too. Josh and Savanna surprised me with a spa day, which I can not wait to use. There is nothing like a message, facial and pedicure. :) Josh also gave me a free day of my "honey- do" list, which I took FULL advantage of! We also had a great time visiting both sets of parents. All in all, it was a great day. Thanks to both my sweethearts for taking care of Mama! ***By the way... I love both of my moms...Paula and Kaye. They are so good to me and my family and help out so much. I am grateful to have them both in my life. One gave me my life and the other gave me my husband... I have nothing but love and respect for each of them and I love them both dearly!

Savanna gave me a full day of smiles... I loved it!

Weekend Fun

This weekend was so nice that we took advantage and spent some time outside. Savanna loves to strip down to her diaper and play in the sun. Every time I tried to put her suit on she would scream... hopefully that is not a sign of things to come! Savanna and Lucky love to watch Daddy out in the yard. I pulled up the blinds so they can both watch him work hard!

Favorite things

I have already mentioned Savanna LOVES her bear Daisy and LOVES her blankets... but she also LOVES the movie Enchanted! If I would let her, she would stand in front of the TV all day and watch this show. She also loves playing in the laundry basket... which is funny because that was my favorite thing to do at her age too! You know what they say... like mother like daughter! Here is a little glimpse of what she looks like intently watching her favorite movie and playing in her laundry basket!

Messy Face!

So Savanna is on the new kick where she HAS to feed herself. It is the only way I can get her to eat! Well, Savanna, plus spaghetti, plus feeding herself, equals nothing but a MESS! But she is still cute even when she is messy!
