Happy Birthday Savanna

Oh my little girl is officially 2!!! I can't believe it has been 2 whole years since she has blessed us with her presence. This little girl has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives... we are so lucky to have such a wonderful daughter. She had a great day... to be honest she had no idea it was different from any other day other than she got to help bake a cake, got to open presents and had everyone sing to her! For the big day, she got an entire new bedroom set. This came complete with a new big girl bed, bedding from Grandma Kimball, new chest of drawers that I painted, and just some fun accessories. I took pictures, but there are still a few things missing. Just little odds and ends I need to still get, but over all I am so happy with the way it turned out! But, I must say her favorite toy was a BALLOON Grandma Kimball got her... simple mind, simple pleasure. Here are some of Savannas latest along with her current stats.

Favorite Thing to Sleep With: Her bear Daisy, blanket, and yes... still a Binky.

Favorite Word: besides mommy:) Froggy! But she substitutes a few letters. Instead of saying Froggy she says F U ** Y(add a C and a K in there and you got it!) Of course she has no idea she is saying anything but froggy!

Favorite Person other than mommy;): Grandpa Kimball! She LOVES LOVES LOVES him.

Current Sleeping Status: Goes to bed in her new big girl bed at 8:30pm and sleeps until 7:30am! She is the greatest little sleeper.

Favorite Thing To Do: Talk on the phone. She loves to call people and just talk to them.

Dora PJ Obsession

Okay, so we recently went to Tennessee to visit my older sister Aubrey and her family. I have not yet posted pictures because I am waiting on my sweet (and very slow) little sister Kelsi to get me pictures... hint hint! Anywho, when we were there, Oaklee (my niece) was kind enough to pass down MANY MANY clothes to Savanna. I mean I had to check an entire 2nd bag to fly home with because there were so many. THANK YOU VERY MUCH AUBREY!!! One of Savannas favorites is the Dora pajamas... and let me tell you she LOVES them. She has to wear them all the time. The other day she insisted on putting them on herself which as you can see did not go so well. We finally came to a compromise and that is to put her normal clothes on and then the darn Dora shorts over top. She actually wears it very cute but I tell ya... Savanna is her Dad to a "T"... stubborn and insistent. She didn't stop until she finally got her way. I am in for a LOOONG road!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

Although this will technically be Savannas 3rd winter, it will be her 1st where she can appreciate the snow. The first winter she was a new born, last year still a bit little to play in the snow, but this one... we are fully prepared. And all I can think of when I see these pictures is the movie A Christmas Story! Do ya think she is bundled up enough?!? Josh was out plowing snow so we went out to shovel our walks. I personally think there is something very wrong with the fact that I have a husband who pushes snow for a living and yet I am out shoveling my own walks... pregnant... I mean come on! But I had to teach music lessons and I didn't want my cute kids falling. Anywho, we LOVE the snow and we really NEED the snow this year, so everyone pray for a good snow filled winter!

Catching up on old times

I know that I have mentioned a couple of times that our friends the Halls are in town. Mike Hall is Joshes very best friend and these 2 are seriously like teenage boys when they get together :)They have grown up together and were both in dance and have stayed friends through all these years. Anywho, I decided since they were here we should get the old "gang" together for some much needed catching up. So last night I invited 12 couples to my house for a big blast from the past party. We had SOOOO much fun. It was mine and Joshes old dance group from way back when that we used to do EVERYTHING with. I can't begin to share all the old memories we laughed and laughed over all night long. I haven't seen some of these people for like 5 years... so needless to say it was fun. Thanks for everyone coming and sharing in the fun of old times and it was so good to see you all. The picture at the top is of the old clogging team. We are only missing a few and the group would have been complete! Ashleigh I am sorry we took these after you left and Ryan we took them before you came! (And please ignore the very pregnant belly I am sporting)

Dino Fun

So the other day we decided to go and have some fun at the Thanksgiving point Dinosaur Museum with out friends the Halls. They have 2 cute girls... Zoe is one year older than Savanna and Isa is one year younger... and they had so so much fun. I felt the husbands had as much, if not more, fun than the kids. Savanna was just so excited to have someone around her same age to go and play with! Enjoy these cute pictures.

Halloween Fun

Savanna had such a fun Halloween! And she looked so darn cute in her little Ladybug costume. We went to my Grandma and Grandpa Kimballs for our annual tradition of hot soup before we headed out. It was so great to see all my cute cousins all dressed up! Daddy took her trick or treating which she loved for about 15 minutes... fine by me! And may I say that I actually got a little choked up seeing my very big, almost 2 year old, go skipping away with her daddy yelling "Bye Bye mommy!" Anywho, it was a fun day. After she went to bed, Josh and I ended up reverting back to our teenage years and went to the Haunted Woods with our good friends Mike and Jen. We seriously had so much fun and I was so glad we had a night out! (And yes, I know my daughter has the worlds Cheesiest smile and I just love it!!!)

Cute as A Bug

So my mom really wanted pictures of Savanna in her Halloween costume, so yesterday we headed to Kiddie Kandids! I tell ya what, my little girl is so grown up. I was just in awe watching her hold her poses so good and smile so cute. It made me realize how big she is and that I will officially have a 2 year old next month! And she looks so darn cute in her little Lady Bug Costume. I had at least 5 people stop me in the mall and ask where I found it... which I owe complete credit to my sister Aubrey who found it for me on line. Thanks Aub! Anywho, thought I would share my sweet little girls pictures with you.

Beautiful Yard

We were getting ready to head to a wedding reception when Savanna wanted to play outside. She LOVES the outdoors. If I would let her, she would be out there all day long. I thought I would get a few pictures of her in our beautiful yard before winter hits. We have been so lucky to have Kimballs maintain out yard all summer long... one of the perks of Josh working for a landscaping company! Don't get be wrong, Josh has done A LOT of work to it too... planting tress and shrubs, taking out unwanted items, new sod and such. We have a vision of what it will look like one day, but until then, I think it still looks pretty darn good!

Sleeping Babies

As we were getting ready for Church a couple Sundays ago, I came in from getting dressed to find both my babies sleeping. It was too cute to wake them up, so I left a note and told them to head over to church when they woke up. Savanna NEVER falls asleep in our bed, but I guess with her best friend daddy, anything is possible!

Company Retreat

A couple of weekends ago, Kimball Property Maintenance had their annual company retreat. This is where Kimballs takes their main managers and their families to snowbird for a fun filled weekend. We had such a great time. Josh is really good friends with the people he works with and our families get along really well, which makes it that much more enjoyable. We had fun rock climbing, swimming, playing tennis and just hanging out! Our room was huge and very nice to relax in. A big thank you to my dad who hosts this wonderful event and for spoiling all his employees. We are so grateful Josh has such a great job to support our little family. And more importantly, we are so grateful that he really enjoys working there! I, of course, forgot our camera so thanks to my sister Kelsi for these pictures!

Our "Chessy" moment!

So, all through mine and Joshes relationship, I have always quizzed him on "what was it about me that you liked... what was it that attracted you to me?" This is due to all of his many women fans that seemed to follow him where he went! He has always teased me and said "Hmmm.. maybe it was this, or maybe it was that" and would give me funny answers. It wasn't until we got married that he finally broke down and said it came down to a few things. First, my CURLY hair. He LOVES LOVES LOVES curly hair. Apparently my our of control curl was something that attracted him! Second, my smile. I think I have an outrageously big, over the top grin, but he loves it! There are some other things that I am a little too shy to share but those are the 2 main things that attracted him to me :) Now, why am I telling you this... yesterday we were driving in the car and the song "All these things" by Stephen Speaks came on and we both just smiled and laughed because it fit us so well! I tired to get it to play on here but playlist.com doesn't have it in their system :( But I still couldn't resist sharing our cheesy moment together. I love you babe!

IT'S A BOY!

Oh, I can not begin to tell you of our excitement! The second she said boy, I was crying, Josh was smiling a very proud smile and just sheer JOY overcame the both of us. We ended up going to Fetal Fotos, which is so much fun. We went there with Savanna and the little video and memories, were so fun so we had to do it again with this one. I was so glad to have my mom there too... I wish Joshes mom could have made it :( Anywho, just thought I would share the very fun news. Here are some of the cute pictures they got... I know, I am a proud mom already.

The time has finally come!

Well folks, the time has finally come... my little Savanna ACTUALLY HAS HAIR! And enough that I can do piggy tails. This has been monumental for me and I am so happy! I thought I might share this cute picture of her sporting her new hair-do. Seriously, I think she is the prettiest thing ever, hair or not, and I will argue with whoever thinks otherwise!

I thought I would share the first picture of Baby Mitchell with everyone. Our Dr. apt. went GREAT! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Later. I am so grateful things worked out with our insurance so that I am able to deliver with him again. Everything looks great and I am scheduled to have this baby March 7.... it seems WAY too far away and I wish it would go by faster! I am feeling a lot better, although I still have bad days, but over all GOOD. Thanks for all the love and prayers from everyone. We are going to find out the sex of the baby in 2 weeks and I can hardly wait. We are crossing our fingers for a boy!

OUR SUPER FUN VACATION

Oh where to begin.... we had such a great time in Mexico and California. It was just what the doctor ordered for ALL OF US! The weather was amazing... my grandparents beach house was amazing... the entire trip was just amazing! Savanna LOVED the water and loved waking up to the beach every morning. She was such a trooper and slept great. I actually went to bed with her every night (and that was for my benefit, not hers) and took a nap with her every day. The sleep was much needed! We played hard and enjoyed the time together. We ended up leaving 1 day early and went into San Diego to spend a day. It was nice to get back to the clean US of A and spend time there too. My parents spoiled us all rotten and I am so thankful to them. Thanks to my wonderful Grandpa and Grandma Kimball for letting us use their house in Mexico... it was so nice. It is right outside of Ensanada and Rosarito... only 40 minutes past the border! They have this HUGE main house with the kitchen and living area and the master, then this cute little quaint courtyard that leads to the guest house. My little family stayed over there and it was so perfect. This was our first "vacation" since our cruise in 2005... let me tell ya, we needed this! Hope you enjoy all the fun pictures I took :) By the way, I chose the La Bamba song because it was Savannas favorite when the little bands would come around and sing to us!

Josh and I also celebrated our 4 year anniversary in Mexico... I could not have asked for a better way to spend it. Honey, I hope you know how much I love and appreciate you. We have had a many years together and I love each memory we have shared. Clear back to when I first saw you... it was 15 years ago... and you were the most handsome "boy" I had ever seen! And then our first kiss on August 24 1996... pretty pathetic that I have the exact date :) I love you baby and I look forward to many many more years together!
